Ismaning, 2. Mai 2019 – SPORT1 ist auch in diesem Jahr die Heimat für den German Bowl im Free-TV: Deutschlands führende 360°-Sportplattform überträgt das Endspiel um die 41. Deutsche Meisterschaft im American Football am Samstag, 12. Oktober, live ab 18:00 Uhr. Damit setzen SPORT1 und die German Football League (GFL) ihre im Frühjahr 2018 begonnenen Kooperation fort. Zudem wird die GFL wie bereits in der vergangenen Saison mit einem eigenen News-Channel auf SPORT1.de und in den SPORT1 Apps vertreten sein. Auch „Kick Off – Das GFL-Magazin“ wird ab September im Free-TV auf SPORT1 fortgesetzt. Die 41. Spielzeit der deutschen Bundesliga im American Football ist am Samstag, 27. April, gestartet.

Der German Bowl XLI kehrt dabei zu seinen Wurzeln zurück und wird nach acht Jahren Unterbrechung in Magdeburg und Berlin wieder in Frankfurt am Main ausgetragen.

Das im August 2018 gestartete GFL-Magazin wird auch kommende Saison wieder die entscheidende Phase der regulären Spielzeit in der GFL und die Playoffs eingehend beleuchten. Im Mittelpunkt von „Kick Off – Das GFL-Magazin“ steht neben einer Nachbetrachtung des jeweils vorangegangenen Spieltags auch der Ausblick auf den German Bowl XLI. Insgesamt wird es fünf Ausgaben geben, die erste Sendung ist am Mittwoch, 4. September, auf SPORT1 im Free-TV zu sehen.

News-Channel zur GFL auf SPORT1.de und in den SPORT1 Apps

Die Kooperation mit der GFL umfasst neben der Live-Übertragung des German Bowl XLI im Free-TV auch einen News-Channel zur deutschen Bundesliga im American Football auf den digitalen Plattformen von SPORT1. In diesem auf SPORT1.de und in den SPORT1 Apps abrufbaren Kanal erhalten Football-Fans regelmäßige Updates zur Lage in der GFL und im deutschen Football allgemein.

Tradition, Spannung und Action in der höchsten deutschen Spielklasse im American Football

Die German Football League – die deutsche Bundesliga im American Football – ist die traditionsreichste Liga im American Football in Europa. Gegründet von sechs Teams im Jahre 1979, umfasst sie inzwischen 16 Mannschaften – je acht in der GFL Nord und der GFL Süd. Die vier bestplatzierten Teams jeder Staffel spielen in den Playoffs um den Einzug in den German Bowl. Der German Bowl ist regelmäßig das am besten besuchte Spiel im europäischen Verbands-Football.

Ismaning, May 2, 2019 – SPORT1 is once again the home of the German Bowl on free-TV this year: Germany’s leading 360° sports platform will broadcast the 41st German American Football Championship Final on Saturday, October 12, live at 6 p.m. SPORT1 and the German Football League (GFL) are thus continuing the partnership they started in spring 2018. As in the previous season, GFL will also be represented with its own news channel on SPORT1.de and in the SPORT1 apps. “Kick Off – Das GFL-Magazin“ will also be continued on free-TV on SPORT1 from September onward. The 41st season of the German American Football Bundesliga started last weekend on Saturday, April 27.

German Bowl XLI returns to its roots. After eight years in Magdeburg and Berlin, it will again be played in Frankfurt am Main.
